Prayer: Week of Feb 21, 2021

Holy Spirit, Master and Vivifier of the Church, transform us completely. Make us, Jesus’ disciples, into an unshakeable unity in this fragmented world. Give us the inexhaustible desire to love our neighbour the way that Jesus loves us. Put in us a heart of prayer and a spirit of patience. God is at work. We know it. Help us to wait for Him, to slow down enough to see Him in action. Help us to live the life of prayer and not simply to sprinkle prayer over a mediocre life. May our desire be for the Lord Himself. Amen.

Good and loyal Master, you have bought us for Yourself and we are your thankful servants. By your grace we are forgiven. By your grace we receive all that we need. Lord, do not allow us to forget your commandments, which are for our own good and for the good of the world. Do not allow us to neglect our responsibilities towards others. Life can become complicated and our situation can become more difficult, and yet we desire, for Your glory, to continue to shine as you commanded. Give us the strength, wisdom, and creativity to serve others. Amen.

Eternal Master, you who are our guide and protector, give us the desire to see your mission accomplished here in Quebec and the wisdom to know how we may properly participate. You, and you alone, will accomplish your will among us, through your faithful servants, and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Help us to follow you humbly and to give our very best for the growth of your Church and for the amplification of your glory. Amen.
