Father Almighty, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, give us ears to hear the Word that You have revealed for us. At our feet, You have placed two paths: the path of our own obstinate hearts and the path of life. Your Word is not far off – thank you God! It is near to us. But we must listen to it and put it into practice. How can we do it? How can we turn away from the idols of our hearts? Heavenly Father, Jesus said that those who are truly His brothers and sisters are those who do your will. He also said that the big difference between the wise person and the fool is that the first puts the Word of God into practice, while the second one merely listens to it without changing anything whatsoever in his or her life. Give us, Lord, the wisdom and the prudence to love Your Word and to put it into practice. It is such a huge gift to be called your children. Protect us and fill us with joy.
