Prayer: Week of Oct 18, 2020

Good Shepherd, you who made the earth and permitted us to roam it from end to end, and to find, either your glory, or our destruction, according to the affections of our hearts, do not abandon us. Come, Lord, and search us out wherever we are lost. Protect us from the carnivores who want nothing but to devour us. Show us the right path and guide us at every step so that we do not misstep again. Give us food and drink; refresh us and show us pure joy. We so want to sing your goodness among the nations. Amen.

Prayer: Week of Oct 11, 2020

Lord Jesus, you who so loved us that you were ready to trade away everything to acquire us; to attract us to yourself, cleanse us from our filthiness, reclothe us in pure garments, and guide us by the hand – give us now, today, the grace to be able, we too, to die to ourselves; to be able to trade away our own advantage for the advantage of others, those near and those far away. Prayer: Week of Oct 4, 2020

Eternal Master, you who are our guide and protector, give us the desire to see your mission accomplished here in Quebec and the wisdom to know how we may properly participate. You, and you alone, will accomplish your will among us, through your faithful servants, and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Help us to follow you humbly and to give our very best for the growth of your Church and for the amplification of your glory. Amen.

Prayer: Week of Sept 27, 2020

God Almighty, you who govern all of creation, have pity on us in this time of pandemic. We send our kids to school, but we fear illness. We visit our aging parents, but we fear illness. We show up to work, but we fear illness. At all times we worry and are powerless before a tiny enemy. Save us, Lord. Give us wisdom to endure well and to think of the needs of others before our own. Give us a holy fear, not of illness nor of death, but of the Almighty who is both Judge and Saviour. Amen.

Prayer: Week of Sept 20, 2020

Our Father who art in heaven, you who see us at all times, who are the Knower-of-hearts, forgive us our prideful and unworthy thoughts; guide us according to your will for our lives, according to your will for your Church, and according to the grace and gifts which you have given us. Be patient with us and open our eyes so that we may better see what you are working around us. Give us the courage to follow you every day. All for your glory, Lord. Amen.
